MDC Competition Team

Lydia Hargreaves, Evie Dootson, Ruby Nuttall, Erin Hindle, Amy Longstaff, Sarah Burns, Morgan Clark, Grace Bentley, Lilly Holden, Maddison Thew, Jordan Carter, Destiny Andrew, Eleanor Broderick, Rainey Nuttall, Raya Cadle, Megan Royal, Lola Buchanan, Ebony Greenwood, Mollie Roberts and Emily Clarkson are all part of the MDC Competition Team and compete in dance competitions all over the UK, winning lots of medals and trophies!

Congratulations to all the girls - we are extremely proud of all of you and also every single one of our students at MDC!!!! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.

Paddy McGuinness

MDC dancers have performed with Paddy on his last two tours 'Me And You Live' And 'Saturday Night Live' throughout the UK

The tour Grande Finale finished at The M.E.N. Arena Manchester where his latest DVD was filmed.

Dani McLaren also choreographed and staged the show.

Destiny Andrew

Destiny Andrew has been dancing at MDC since the age of 3 years old and as well as competing in dance competitions all over the UK has already has had a lot of professional experience here are her credits:

  • 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' The Musical with Jason Manford and Claire Sweeney (Sewer Kid).

  • Dance Model for Jordan Matter.

CBBC Find Your Tribe featuring Destiny Andrew

Ruby Nuttall

Ruby, last year, won the TDCI Juvenile British Modern Championship and this year Won The British and English TDCI Junior Ballet Championship !!! Hundreds of dancers compete all over the UK for this title so we are thrilled!!! Ruby has won many titles around the country - One TDCI song and dance championship, Six times Modern Champion and Seven times Ballet Champion. Ruby has also been chosen to train with Elmhursts ballet programme once a week in association with Birmingham Royal Ballet.

Lola Buchanan and Ruby Nuttall - Prima Dancewear Ambassadors!!

Lola and Ruby have been chosen by Prima Dancewear out of thousands of dancers to be ambassadors for their Dancewear range. Thousands of amazing dancers applied so we are extremely excited about this!!! Well done girls!

Tasha McSherry Bursary for The Hammond!!!

Tasha McSherry has trained with MDC for 16 years and has now been offered a bursary place at The Hammond School in Chester where she will train to become a professional performer and receive a Dance/Musical Theatre Diploma/BA (Hons) Degree validated by Trinity London. Hundreds of dancers auditioned and only 4 students were chosen for the bursary !! We wish Tasha all the best of Luck persuing her career as a performer!!!

Evie Dootson and Destiny Andrew

Evie and Destiny this year were both chosen by Craig Wharmby out of hundreds of dancers to appear in his concept Video for ‘AYAW’ therefore trained with him intensely for a few weeks. Well done girls!

Amy Longstaff

Amy competed in her first TDCI Modern Championship this year and placed Runnerup, well done Amy! She was also chosen to perform at Oldham Colliseums Panto ‘Sleeping Beauty’ as a Dancer last year and for ‘Stage Box’ as part of their ‘Elite Team’ filming two Musical Theatre shows with them.

Lilly , Morgan, Amy, Ruby and Destiny were all chosen by photographer Nathan D’amour to do a ‘Dance Inspired’ shoot. Some of these photos are on our home page. Amy Longstaff’s photo was chosen by The ‘Lighting Academy’ for their photography news magazine. Well done girls!

Charlie Birtwistle

In October 2016 Charlie performed in ‘The Wind And The Willows’ At The Lowry alongside Rufus Hound and in December 2016 he appeared as a ‘Sewer Kid’ in ‘Chitty Bang Bang’ At The Lowry alongside Jason Manford. This Year Charlie was chosen from almost a hundred boys to play the lead role of Micheal in ‘Elf’ The Musical that will be on at The Lowry this Christmas. Congratulations Charlie!!

Sarah Burns Insane Dancewear Ambassador!!!

Sarah was chosen from thousands of amazing dancers all over the country to be an ambassador for ‘Insane’ Dancewear!!! This Dancewear is extremely popular in the dance world so is an amazing achievement for any dancer. Well done Sarah!

Raya Cadle and Maddison Thew

Raya and Maddison auditioned for The Royal Ballet Junior Associates this year and were picked with 14 other children out of hundreds to train with them three times a month in Manchester. We are extremely proud as it is so hard to be accepted by the Royal Ballet so big well done Raya and Maddison!

Maddison Thew

Maddison has this year been chosen by both Valley academy and Saddleworth Operatic Society to play the Artful Dodger in both their productions of Oliver . She has also played Lead roles in Valley academy’s Les Miserables and Starlight Express , Congratulations Maddie!!!!

Loui Batley

Loui trained with Debra for three years and has gone on to star in the hit TV soap 'Hollyoaks' as Sarah Barnes.

Rachel Yates

Rachel trained with Debra for seventeen years and since a very early age has performed in musicals such as 'Oliver' and 'Joseph's Technicolour Dream Coat'.

Rachel has also played main parts in the soaps 'Doctors' and 'Heartbeat'.

Isaac Dootson

Isaac, who is currently training at The Debra McLaren Dance Company was chosen to model for Tesco's F&F Range.

He has performed in numerous major stores around the UK modelling and dancing - showing the latest season looks.
